1 · Who we are
ORLAMERE is a trading name of 太原晟启家居用品有限公司 (Taiyuan Shengqi Household Products Co., Ltd.), unified social credit code 91140105MAK46WL51X, registered at No. 20 Xutan West Street, Wucheng Subdistrict, Xiaodian District, Taiyuan, Shanxi, China. We sell lighting and homeware online. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can tell us to stop doing with it.
For anything touching your data, write to [email protected]. That inbox is read by the same people who run the shop.
2 · Cookies and similar technologies
We keep the tool count deliberately small, because every extra tracker is an extra liability:
- Essential — a cookie that remembers what is in your bag, and one that stores your cookie choice. They cannot be switched off without breaking the shop.
- Analytics — aggregated page counts with IP addresses truncated. We use it to see which products get viewed and which pages are broken. No advertising identifiers, no data sold onward.
- Embedded content — fonts and images are served from our own domain, so no third-party script loads on our pages at all.
In the EU and UK the law requires us to ask first. If you are in those regions you will see a one-time choice panel; you can change it at any time by clearing site data for orlamere.com in your browser, or by writing to us.
3 · What we collect and why

We do not ask for and do not want: passport or ID numbers, bank account numbers, health or religious details, or the sensitive categories the GDPR treats specially. If you send us something of that kind by mistake, tell us and we will delete it.
4 · Legal bases we rely on
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we process on one of four bases: performance of a contract (taking and delivering your order), compliance with a legal obligation (invoices and tax records), our legitimate interests (running a secure shop, keeping aggregate traffic statistics), and your consent (the newsletter, and any non-essential cookies).
5 · Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers who may process data on our behalf, each under a written contract that forbids them from using it for their own purposes: payment processing, shipping and customs paperwork, transactional email, and hosting. We are not part of any data-broker network, we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. If a sale of the business ever happened, your data would go with it and we would tell you first.
6 · International transfers
We are registered in China and our hosting and warehouse are there, so your order data is processed outside the EEA and the UK. For EEA and UK customers that transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with our hosting provider's certifications, and we additionally limit what we store to the minimum the order needs.
7 · How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: six years, because Chinese tax and accounting rules require it.
- Your bag contents while you shop: cleared when your session ends or after 90 days.
- Support email: 24 months after the thread is closed.
- Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe; we keep a one-line record that you left so we do not re-add you.
- Analytics: aggregated after 14 months; raw IP is truncated on arrival.
8 · YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:
- See what we hold about you and get a copy in a usable format.
- Fix anything wrong or out of date.
- Delete your personal data. We will erase what we can and tell you plainly what we must keep (invoices, for example) and for how long.
- Port your data to another seller.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and ask us to stop direct marketing at any time — that one takes effect immediately.
- Restrict or object to how we use your data while a dispute is sorted out.
Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days (within one month for EEA and UK requests). We do not charge for this, and we will not treat you worse for asking. If you are in the EEA or the UK you can also complain to your national supervisory authority; you can find the one for your country from the European Data Protection Board's list. Chinese residents can complain to the local cyberspace administration. You never need a lawyer and we will never ask you to pay to make a request.
9 · Opt-out of sale or sharing of personal information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing for us to switch off in that sense. If that ever changes we will add a clearly labelled opt-out here, and we will not make the change until that link is live.
In the meantime you can use these everyday controls at any time:
- Email marketing opt-out. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click ends it. You can also ask us in an email, or reply with "unsubscribe" in the subject.
- Analytics opt-out. Write to us and we will disable analytics for your address, or drop the cookie in your browser settings.
- Cookies generally. Your browser can block cookies. Our bag will not survive that, so if you want the bag to work, allow the essential cookies for orlamere.com.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We honour these signals as a refusal of non-essential analytics, not just as a signal we ignore.
- Anything else. Tell us what you do not want us to hold and we will stop and delete it.
To exercise any of the above, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy opt-out". We confirm within 1 business day, and we confirm in writing when it has been actioned.
10 · Children
Our shop is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If we find something like that we delete it.
11 · Automated decisions
We do not use automated systems to make decisions about you, and we do not profile you for advertising. The only automated thing we do is a straightforward fraud check on an order's billing and delivery country before it ships.
12 · Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the monthly email and keep every previous version available on request.
